If you are frustrated with your hair and would love to change your look, you may think that coloring or a perm are the best options to consider. Perhaps you’ve even explored some extreme cuts as you tried to find a new hairdo. Hair wigs provide a great option, though, for the individual who would rather not do anything drastic. With a wig, you can have a style that’s ready to go when you are, without a lot of frustrating curling, straightening or blow drying.
Hair wigs come in a variety of colors, cuts and styles. They can be purchased already made, but you can also order a customized design. There are limitless possibilities in lengths and cuts, and selections can be used for everyday wear or for special occasions. In starting out, you may want to select something that is a bit conservative so that you can style it in a variety of ways. You may later determine that you’d like a couple ofhair wigs for use in different lengths. Some people actually use their wig designs like real hair, having them styled and cut to show variation over time.
There are some basic care and application principles that you need to take time to learn as you first adjust to wearing hair wigs. For example, your base material may determine how you attach your hair piece. Some people like to use adhesive strips while others opt for liquid adhesives. Others use a combination of these products. Hair piece bases can vary. Some allow for your own hair to be pulled through in order to integrate with the hair used in the system. Others use fine mesh and completely cover your head. Some systems fill in only small areas where thin hair or bald spots are a problem. Others cover the entire head.
Your use of hair wigs doesn’t relieve you of the need to wash and style completely. The type of hair used in your system determines the cleaning and styling products that are appropriate. If you aren’t sure of what system will best suit your needs, it’s always possible to speak with a representative of Advent Hair in order to get clarification.
