Diet and Mens Hair Loss Part 1

Mens hair lossMen everywhere are typically terrified of mens hair loss. Hair loss can result in low self-esteem and confidence, not to mention a drastic change in your physical appearance. At Advent Hair, we certainly understand the anxiety men feel about hair loss, and that is why we offer a complete line of custom men’s hair replacement solutions. In addition to our own hair system selection, we also love offering advice on how to avoid further hair loss.

It is a scientific fact that although hair loss can be attributed to many different factors, one of the main factors is diet. Poor eating habits means your body won’t receive the nutrition it needs to continue proper hair growth. Therefore, it is extremely important to eat foods that contain the proper vitamins and minerals. We’ve put together this short list of some foods that will help keep your body in great condition and help curb hair loss.

  • Vitamin A is an important vitamin that is responsible for helping your body’s cells and tissues grow, including your hair and scalp. The easiest way to get Vitamin A is by eating red, yellow, and orange fruits, as well as carrots and leafy greens.
  • There are three types of B vitamins that are important. Each one helps to form hemoglobin, which brings oxygen to the tissues of your body. Without the necessary amount of B vitamins, you’ll unknowingly cut off the blood supply to your hair. Vitamins B12 and B6 can be found in chicken, fish, and soybeans, while folic acid can be found in leafy vegetables, broccoli, and avocados.
  • Vitamin C does so much for your body that plenty of it is recommended. Vitamin C is a main ingredient in the production of collagen, which gives helps hold tissues in the body together (like hair). Eat oranges, berries, peppers, and tomatoes to get a good amount of Vitamin C every day.
