Now that it is March, we can finally start to put away our thick wool coats and sweaters. It’s been a particularly brutal winter, especially for those who wear a hair replacement. We recently wrote a post about proper hair system maintenance during the winter. As the weather starts to warm, it might be a good idea to review some steps you can take to keep your hair system fresh and maintained in warm spring weather.
- With warmer weather, it is almost guaranteed that you will have more humid days than you’d like. If you’re having a tough time controlling your frizzy hair, it might be a good idea to invest in some good conditioner. You don’t have to use it every day, but using it often will definitely cut down on your frizz.
- Try to keep your hair system out of excessively hot environments. Cars can get very hot if left in the sun, and if you leave your hair system in one, the heat can cause major damage, possibly irreparable, especially to synthetic wigs.
- Don’t be afraid of hats! Hats can accomplish many things when it gets warmer. First, they protect your hair from harmful UV rays. Second, they keep your hair in place during those inevitably windy or rainy days. Third, they look great!
These are only a few of the basics. What do you do when it gets warm?
