Dear Advent Hair,
There had been a rumor running around the school that the principal wore a toupee—but we weren’t sure. One day, I had to go into his office to give him a note from one of my teachers. His secretary was sitting outside his office, but I heard him inside, so I just knocked on his door. He told me to come in, so I did. When I opened the door, he was taking off his jacket and scarf because he’d just come in from the outside. Then he took off his hat and sat down.
He must have forgotten that when he puts on his hat he takes off his toupee. Because he was completely bald! I tried not to stare—but he must have caught me. He realized what happened, and scrambled to put his toupee on! I was shocked, and I ran out of his office. I didn’t make eye contact with him for the rest of the year.
