Diet and Mens Hair Loss Part 2

As we said in our previous post, food has a lot to do with hair loss. Without proper nutrition, your body can be negatively affected in many ways, including loss of hair. Advent Hair is happy to share these ideas because we know a healthy lifestyle greatly increases your overall happiness. So, without further ado, here are some more foods that can help halt your hair loss.

  • Zinc is so important to your hair that a deficiency can cause not only hair loss but also dandruff. Zinc is responsible for maintaining cell reproduction and tissue growth, as well as keeping the oil-secreting glands around our hair follicles operating properly. You can find zinc in foods like seafood, poultry, eggs, milk, and whole grain products.
  • Did you know that one of the main components of human hair is protein? Eating enough protein daily ensures that your body will be able to replace hair that has been shed throughout the day. Don’t think that you can get away with eating burgers and steaks all day – if your diet contains too much fat, you will experience high testosterone levels, resulting in hair loss. Try lean meats like fish, chicken, and soy products.
  • This last food is the easiest food to consume as often as possible on a daily basis: water! Water is a key ingredient in every part of your body and is responsible for maintaining healthy body functions. Be sure to drink water throughout the day.

There are plenty of other ways to stay healthy and prevent hair loss. If you have any questions about hair loss or our selection of custom mens hair systems, please contact Advent Hair by calling 1-800-756-8585.
