Being in the hair loss field, it is important to us that we try our best to learn as much as we can about the phenomenon of hair loss. We pass this knowledge on to our customers in an effort to ease their worry and help them better understand hair loss. Earlier, we listed some common causes of women’s hair loss. Here are a few more reasons why women lose hair:

  • An unfortunately common disease for women is lupus. Lupus is a disease that causes your body’s own immune system to attack healthy tissue. This disease usually occurs during your childbearing years. Among the many troubling symptoms, hair loss is a symptom that can happen, either mildly or severely.
  • Diet is important, and when women don’t consume enough iron-rich foods, it can cause an iron deficiency. Without enough iron in your body, your blood will not contain enough red blood cells. This can lead to fatigue, weakness, and yes, hair loss.
  • If you are one of the 5 million women who suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome, you know how difficult this hormonal imbalance syndrome can be. Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome experience symptoms like facial hair growth, irregular periods, acne, and ovarian cysts. In many cases, hair loss is common, along with rapid and unexpected hair growth on other parts of the body.
