Hair systems are complicated. At Advent Hair we know hair systems so you don’t have to. Our customer service specialists are always standing by to answer any questions you may have about your hair system. Here are some of the latest questions we’ve answered for customers.
Advent Hair's FAQ

Q: Can my wig be worn while swimming?
A: Secure your wig with a waterproof wig adhesive and you’ll be swimming worry-free. At AdventHair.com we have several waterproof wig adhesives to choose from, including Walker Liqui-Tape, Walker Mity Tite Liquid Adhesive, Be Sure Brush on Adhesive and more.

Q: How can I prevent my wig from becoming frizzy?
A: Frizz can be prevented by daily conditioning. Just make sure you buy the correct conditioner for your wig! If you have a real human hair wig then we suggest PPI Enhance Conditioner. This leave-in conditioner can be used daily to prevent frizz. If you have a synthetic wig then we suggest using TDI Silicon K New Life Conditioner to fight frizz.

Q: Which is better, Swiss lace or French lace?
A: Swiss lace is fine, fragile and available in a lighter density, while French lace is sturdy, strong and available in a thicker density. The choice between French or Swiss lace depends on what you’re looking for in a hair system. Many first time wig buyers purchase French lace, as it’s less likely to be damaged than Swiss lace.

  1. Lean Red Meat - If you body isn’t getting enough iron it can result in hair loss and possibly baldness. This problem is especially common in women. Make sure to eat plenty of lean red meat, which is packed with iron.

  5. Oysters - You may not enjoy these slippery shellfish, but oysters provide your body with zinc. When the body is low on zinc it’s more prone to hair loss.

Just to recap, in order to keep your hair shining and healthy your body needs plenty of iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, biotin, silica, and zinc. Do you know of any hair healthy foods? Hairpieces: Not Just for Hair Loss

When women hear the word “wig” topics like hair loss quickly come to mind. However, the purposes of a wig can be limitless. Wigs make great fashion statements and are perfect for women who like to continuously try out new hairstyles.

Here are the top 5 reasons as to why someone who isn?t experiencing hair loss should buy a wig:

  • Trying A New Style: Have you ever thought long and hard about getting that short bob cut, but you just didn’t have the courage? The great thing about women’s wigs is that you can go from long to short without committing to a new cut. Explore new looks to see which best suits your style.

  • To Save Time: These days, we barely have enough time in the morning to eat breakfast, let alone style our hair. Save minutes each day by conveniently applying your pre-styled hairpiece.

  • Attaining Volume: We all aim to have a beautiful, full head of hair, but no mattBlog_5-2.gifer how much hairspray we apply or how long we used the blow dryer, our hair tends to fall flat by the end of the day. Attain fullness, easily each morning with a fashionable wig.

  • Saving Money: Trips to the beauty salon can add up, especially with the large number of cuts and colorings women get each year. Wigs can be a cheaper and healthier solution, as excessive hair-dying can cause damage.

  • Covering Gray Hair: If you’re tired of dying your gray hairs and the costs associated with it, wigs can help boost your confidence with a permanent color and style.

With summer soon approaching, now is the perfect time to try out a new style. Advent Hair carries many wigs for women in a variety of lengths, cuts and colors. What kind of styles do you prefer? Short, long, curls, straight – the opportunities are endless!
